Alice Faria is an award-winning director based in California. She was raised in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and holds a dual B.A. in Film & Media and Global Studies from UC Berkeley. Alice began her career in 2017, working with independent productions, social projects, and film festivals that support and incentivize Brazilian cultural expression. Her work has consistently focused on storytelling rooted in community, identity, and place.
In 2023 Alice moved to Iceland to explore new forms of visual storytelling. While there, she partnered with Hero Productions and expanded her practice to include branded campaigns, music videos, and films. There Alice was able to develop herself as a cross-cultural creative leader, blending her documentary background with commercial narratives, immersive visuals, and sound design. Her work has received over 150 awards and has screened at festivals across Latin America, North America, and Europe. She continues to seek out projects that value artistic innovation, global perspective and deep creative collaboration.
